UNISON is one of the biggest trade unions in Britain, they represent staff who provide public services in the public and private sector. Their elected President for 2023-2024 is Libby Nolan, from Swansea. Libby volunteers with SASS and she has kindly chosen SASS to be her Presidential Solidarity Project for 2023-24.

Due to this, branches of UNISON all around the UK have made generous donations to SASS, totalling over £4000 so far! This money is being spent on bus tickets, hygiene products, gym memberships, bowling and beach outings, and other ways of making life better for 100s of asylum seekers.

A team from SASS will attend UNISON’s Annual Delegates Conference in Brighton, 18-21 June, to say Thank You.

Snakes and Ladders: Special Asylum Seekers Edition (prototype)

The SASS Snakes and Ladders game lets people learn in a fun way about the experiences of asylum seekers in the UK, from arrival to getting their papers. Special thanks to Harry Richmond (College of Art, UWTSD) for the final art design.
