Donating Money
Every contribution makes a difference. Whether it’s a one-off gift or a regular donation, your support helps us meet urgent needs, run our regular drop-ins, run activities, and provide practical help.
Donating Items
We’re very grateful for donations of good quality clothing, shoes, and household goods. These are passed directly to those who need them most.
To help us sort and distribute items efficiently, please:
- Do not bring donations directly to drop-ins, please contact us first by email or phone (see below)
- Send a photo of what you’d like to donate, if possible
- Ensure all items are clean and in good condition – no broken shoes or worn-out clothing
- Label bags clearly with sizes and ages
- Only donate clothes that are in season – neither asylum seekers/refugees nor SASS has facilities to store items
We especially need men’s clothing, mainly small and medium size.
We are always in need of coats of all sizes during winter.
We prioritise quality over quantity. Unfortunately, poor-quality donations take up valuable time for our small volunteer team, who then need to sort through and dispose of unsuitable items responsibly. If your items aren’t suitable, please consider recycling them instead at your closest recycling centre.
